Church of St. Domenica

The church, dating back at least to 1600, is characterized by a very simple and modest architecture.

Inside the magnificent high altar all in red marble from Taormina is enchanting, worked in inlay and mosaic.

On top of the altar, in a round is painted the image of St. Domenica with the palm of martyrdom in her hand , to the right of this high arch, in a niche, there are the statues of Saints. Cosmas and Damian, the two brothers, who were martyred in Egea in Cilicia (Asia Minor) in 303 A.D., where during the same persecution of Diocletian and his associates, Saint Domenica was also killed.
